Prudential Policy

• In the Covid-19 pandemic, developed emergency measures to enable banks to absorb losses and continue lending.
• Led impact analysis on two major reviews into the capital requirements frameworks for UK banks.
• Leading a small team, established a new way of understanding the interactions and dynamics between parts of banks’ capital requirements and how those change with different shocks.

• Pioneered the directorate’s policy implementation for digital-only banks, developed stakeholder relationships with those organisations and communicated the Bank of England’s approach to board members at those banks.
• Covered as a private secretary to the Executive Director, managing correspondence and providing ad hoc analysis.
• Developed impact analysis for the implementation of a key part of resolution policy for globally systemically important banks. Contributed to international negotiations by becoming the directorate expert on Swiss.
