I am a creative director, and experienced leader, with a passion for learning design. I have over 15 years of experience in the industry, and I am skilled in a variety of learning methods, including blended learning, storyboarding, script writing, educational film producing, authoring eLearning, and leading creative teams.In my current role at Integra Aerospace, I lead the creative learning design team. I am responsible for setting the creative vision and direction for the learning we are designing, end to end from meeting with key stakeholders to review scripts and storyboards to facilitating design workshops.From the office to the classroom - I am an enthusiastic instructor and facilitator, who holds the attention of the room and can engage the least 'wanted to be engaged with' person in the room!😂I regularly deliver training in the classroom and online (Human Factors, Expected Standards).I am most proud of my work on the new Safety Lifestyle Blended Learning Program, which was developed initially for a large global airline, with the main objective to create a program that ultimately led to a safer work environment so that everyone gets to go home safely to their loved ones. This is now being rolled out to other organizations. What I am most passionate about is continually how I can connect with my learners in order for it to make a lasting impression and aid to their transformation (from a continual development perspective).

Working alongside Babcock on the Faraday project - redesigning the future of the Royal Navy's training. I developed classroom problem & competency based training activities for the engineering disciplines that are required for todays engineering technicians.This project required me to become involved with designing training that was activity based and fulfilled the requirements of the competency framework that had been developed.Working alongside specialists in many areas of training design I was responsible for the following:- Designing classroom activity based lessons- Creating media scopes and initial design concepts for simulations- Overseeing the media requirements for the modules that were being worked on by a team of 20+ training designers- Briefing the Media Dept on the way simulations would be used within the training activities and developing the initial concept designs

Working in partnership with the University of East Anglia (UEA) Health School. Delivering Human Factors and Patient safety workshops working within the healthcare trusts in the east of England. We work with healthcare professionals to understand the way human factors affect the decisions we all make on a daily basis. Our training approach is to have everyone consider the role they play in increasing patient safety and the influence they can have starting immediately - regardless of position within their organization.

I lead an innovative team that partners with aircraft maintenance organizations in creating compliance and competency based training courses, tailored to those individual organisations. We believe that a blended (online and face-face) approach to activity based training brings increased benefits to the organisations we work with. As a freelance instructional designer I am experienced in developing a range of on and offline training products. Using the latest in creative technology, Adobe Creative Suite, I am able to bring online training to life through the use of video and interactive scenarios. I have extensive experience with using Learner Management Systems and Virtual Learning Environments. I was responsible for Identifying business and learning objectives for the online training and development requirements of the company. I regularly consult with stakeholders across all levels of the company on a regular basis.A recent project involved looking at innovative ways to transfer knowledge to the company workforce via mobile platforms.I was responsible for the development of KLM UK's virtual learning environment (Moodle), overseeing the team creating the content.Within the college I was jointly responsible for developing a strategy to further the development of the college. By looking at its current facilities, customer base, staff and products and making recommendations based on those findings.

Responsible for investigating maintenance error within a Safety Management System and for making recommendations to aid in the reduction of future error.

This role included the following roles and responsibilities:- Responsible for the design, development and implementation of all online courses for KLM UK Engineering, both internally and externally. These courses regularly exceeded the expectations of the take holders.I Redeveloped the workflow system for the presentation of courses from basic text on a slide format to delivery using a wide range of techniques and media from audio narration and pod casts, to interactive scenarios ad short videos / documentaries.One way we achieved greater user retention was by green screening an instructor and placing him within our courses.- Writing scripts and storyboarding for the production of e-learning and training videos / scenarios.- Developing and teaching a number of classroom based courses which involved a number of scenario based tasks and interactions to further enhance the course and increase the retention of subject matter.- Working closely with management at all levels to ensure that the products produced are of the highest standard and consistently pushing the boundaries regarding creativity and presentation.- Regularly chairing meetings and running briefing sessions efficiently and with enthusiasm. By providing strong leadership, whist allowing individuals to shine, led to excellent team productivity and also highly innovative ideas which regularly exceeded expectation.- Screen writing and storyboarding which were combined to engage users through small stories- Oversight, management and maintenance of the Learner Management System, ensuring that reports are sent out to managers on a regular basis.- Proficiency in using the following software: Rapid e-learning authoring tools, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Flash), MS Office and Project management tools such as Ghantt charts.

I was contracted to design face to face based courses for the company's internal aircraft mechanics, providing a pathway for them to receive approval for certain maintenance tasks - this became an Authorised Mechanic Programme.The role involved researching and producing material for three large courses and included material to improve the companies engineering leadership and inspection techniques.These courses have been successfully delivered by myself, over the past four years.

Aerial Survey.Aircraft maintenance of the day to day operation of Aero Commander 690/500 aircraft. Work also included aircraft modification for camera installations. Pilot on number of aerial survey missions in Aero Commander 500.

Teaching EASA Cat A course subjects maths, physics and aerodynamics.

High School based. Mentored young people at risk of exclusion/offending.Created programs for these young people to cover all holiday periods.Managed budgets and communicated with various organisations at all levels, including social and children's services.
