I undertake one-to-one and small group literacy teaching in schools.I encourage and facilitate parent/carer engagement.I report on individual progress.I work as part of the Quest for Learning tutor team.

I used my skills and experience as a teacher and special needs co-ordinator to support children with additional needs in key stage 1 classes with their learning.

Teaching in 3 key stage 2 classes to provide planning, preparation and assessment cover for teachers.

I managed a team of learning support staff across the school to enable effective provision for pupils with additional needs.Working as part of the senior leadership team, monitored pupil progress and implemented interventions across the school.Taught individual and small groups of pupils with additional needs.Led teachers and other staff members to plan and schedule lessons which cater for pupils with additional needs.

Working as part of the Senior Mangement team i was responsible for the effective provision for pupils with additional needs across the whole school.I developed management skills which led to running a large team of support staff and building excellent relationships with staff, pupils and parents.I was responsible for liaison with external advisory services and ensuring that their recommendations had an impact upon the progress of our children.I led staff meetings to promote effective provision for pupils with additional needs.I also taught a key stage 2 class for 4 days per week.

Whilst teaching in a range of classes across key stage 2, I was also school co-ordinator for gifted and talented pupils, Design Technology, P.S.H.E., student mentor and lead behaviour professional.
