I am an England based 3D Artist and Animator. I am currently employed full time as a Lead 3D Artist, working at a VR and AR development studio in Brighton. For lots of lovely information about myself or to see my work please check out my website at: https://sammerrick.co.uk/Over the many years I have been working in the games industry I have developed advanced skills in 3D modelling, rigging, animation, 2D art, FX animation, C# programming and facial animation. Other skills include video editing, website design and graphic design for marketing and advertisement. I am able to create excellent quality artwork and animation for both 2D and 3D mobile applications and highly detailed PBR artwork using the latest techniques suitable for console and PC gaming.Highlights of my skills and experience include:- Lots of experience using Unity's HD Render Pipeline, Universal Render Pipeline, Visual Effect Graph and Shader Graph.- Confidence in creating excellent AAA quality game ready assets.- More than eight years experience in the games industry.-Expert experience using 3D Studio Max, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Unity, Photoshop, ZBrush, Motionbuilder and version control software.- Working to concepts, reference images and own imagination.- The ability to quickly sketch concept designs in 3D for team and client review.- Able to work to a variety of different art styles.- Has previously worked on console, PC, mobile and VR platforms.- Excellent researching capabilities.- Keen interest in future technologies, software and art tools.- Apt problem solver.- Welcomes a challenge.-Highly motivated and self driven.- Pride in ones work.- Relishes working as part of a team, learning from others and sharing knowledge.-Multi-skilled - I have advanced background knowledge in rigging, animation, material creation using Substance Designer and an intimidate knowledge in C# programming.- A strong traditional artistic ability and attention to detail.
