During the 2016 summer I worked with a very exciting start-up (medical software) company in Dublin.My role involved: • Working with HP to connect medical devices with Full Health’s software• Customer service and support • SupportThe company has developed a software for health groups, hospitals, GP’s etc. My initial role was to work alongside HP to incorporate medical equipment that could communicate with the software and speed up medical practice. As this was a small company, my responsibilities grew very quickly. By the end of the three months I became responsible for a number of key areas including: • All customer support• Dispatching medical reports• Training nurses in on the software Working in a small, fast paced start-up company enabled me to experience and develop vital commercial and consumer skills for my future career. Learning quickly and managing multiple projects at once are areas I feel I excelled in. With only two other people working in the company, I had to learn to be innovative, decisive and to take on responsibilities unfamiliar to me. This experience at an early stage in my career is hard to come by. As a result, it has strengthened my abilities to learn quickly, work within a team and excel in new environments. Prior and subsequent to my time with Full Health I worked as a supervisor in Tesco. Time management and maintaining a high level of work ethic/performance in both jobs was an exciting challenge for me. This is a skill I feel is very important in an Engineering environment, proving that you can manage heavy workloads while maintaining a high work rate.
