Hello! My name is Sam Murray and I graduated in May 2022 from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees in Political Science and History. I now work as a Quality Manager at Epic Systems in Verona, WI, testing software for Epic's interoperability platform: Care Everywhere. You might ask, how does someone with two degrees in the humanities end up working at the largest Electronic Health Record (EHR) in America in a role seemingly unrelated to their education? Simply put, it was the natural progression for me after working as an intern at Epic for 2+ years throughout undergrad. However, after some time in this role, I've come to understand just how impactful my education was and how it's allowed me to thrive in this position. It has been my life's dream to practice public interest law, and currently, I plan on attending law school in the Fall of 2026. Yet, one thing everybody learned during the COVID-19 pandemic was that things rarely go according to plan, and with that in mind, I am keeping my options for the future open.
