I’m a fully qualified advanced personal trainer. Maintaining a good level of fitness has always been important to me, from a young age I have been involved in a variety of sporting activities, such as martial arts, cycling, swimming and weight training, etc… My health and fitness journey has had its set backs, the most major being a renal transplant in 1998. So I can appreciate the struggle that some people face as my fitness levels at my lowest point were rock bottom. But once I had my transplant I wasn’t going to allow anything to stand in the way of my sports training towards a healthier and fitter life. This August I took part in the British Transplant Olympics and won a Bronze medal for the Shot put. I also won a Silver medal for a Karate Kumite this October; I’m now in training for a National Karate Kumite at Chrystal Palace which takes place this November. I would like to use my previous misfortunes as a positive tool to train people that are not in the best of shape or health. I have extensive knowledge of fitness training, so I’m equally as able to train the super fit to over come plateaus to reach new goals. I keep my sports knowledge up to date by studying in my spare time. I do this for the purpose of keeping it fresh, current and fun.
