It is entirely self-sustaining, self-running, and profitable.Outwardly, the @bobbyridesbackwards Instagram is a collection of absurdist, tongue-in-cheek mountain biking products that can be "purchased" on the website, backwardsbobby.com. These ridiculous, fantastical products drive traffic to the store that sells real, high-quality mountain biking apparel and accessories to enthusiasts.

General Orbital is building an orbital platform for manufacturing goods in space. A facility, in orbit around the Earth, receives payloads of semi-raw and raw materials and assembles those materials into finished goods otherwise too large, sensitive, or fragile to be launched using conventional means.

At HueDx, a pioneering medical device company, I was instrumental in leading the development and engineering of an innovative assay development and commercialization software tool suite, as well as a Rapid, Quantitative, Assay-based (RQA) device platform from the ground up. My comprehensive responsibilities spanned across all engineering domains, including computer vision software, machine learning systems, physical device design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and industrial design.Key Achievements:- FDA Approval Process: Successfully transformed the product into a high-performing medical device. I overhauled HueDx’s software stack, redesigned the device, and achieved product specifications that exceeded industry standards. I also drafted the 510k FDA submission and navigated the complex Class I and Class II medical device regulatory pathways.- AWS Architecture Development: As the primary backend developer, I designed and implemented a robust, micro-services-based backend using Python. I developed internal applications for scientific data storage, exploration, and data science, and created machine learning models for image processing of the medical device.- Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of Physical Medical Device: I drafted CAD for all physical components and executed a strategic manufacturing plan with international partners to mass-produce the array of products in compliance with FDA regulations in ISO13485 facilities.

Senio is a software tool suite platform for political fundraising that leverages publicly-available data and sophisticated data science techniques to enhance the financial effectiveness of political campaigns. Senio's innovative software tools intelligently design campaign finance and fundraising strategies, statistically improving the likelihood of a successful campaign. Senio's success led to its acquisition shortly after launch.

I optimized and characterized optical lithography processes for CVD diamond. I also developed techniques for improved atomic force microscope resolution and artifact tracking, enhanced in-air photoluminescence collection from nitrogen vacancy centers in CVD diamond, and beam control/characterization for UV and visible micromachining laser systems.

I developed and patented a process for controllably cleaving grown diamond for use as a near-field sensor with applications in medicine, materials science, and quantum information science. I also developed automation electronics and software for a scanning confocal microscope, as well as built a single-mode transmission microscope for testing lithographic techniques intended to improve the sensitivity of embedded atomic defect field sensors.
