My role was to Skipper 41 – 51ft Bavaria Cruisers with up to 9 guests for one week holidays around Greece. As well as taking charge of and running the yacht, the role also required me to provide breakfast and lunch for guests. I was also responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organising yacht maintenance.

La Kinkerne is an Après Bar, Restaurant and 20 Bed Hotel located in the ski resort of Morzine, France. I was responsible for the day to day running of the venue including managing a team of 9 staff, managing stock levels for the bar, pricing of beverages and bar snacks, maintenance and operation of the till system, running regular après events, ensuring.

Prior to being promoted to Manager of La Kinkerne, I initially started my season working as a Chalet Host before moving to help out in La Kinkerne kitchen. After a couple of weeks working as a Kitchen Porter I asked to move to work as part of the Front of House team. Soon after starting behind the bar and working in the restaurant I was promoted to Bar.

Starting out as an apprentice working in Rolls-Royces gas turbine business I completed 9 months of basic practical engineering training including welding, component assembly, hand fitting, milling and turning. Over the course of the next 3 years I completed a number of office based business placements in different areas of the Civil Aerospace business..
