Awarded "Hero of Bozeman" to many "Traverse City 40 under 40" he built the Rockies leading indoor advertising medium & Branding Business to top independent entertainment & events production companies in the Rockies - Porterhouse Productions with annual festivals & events. Sam traveled the world including India to Cuba focused on culture & folkloric music through percussion. Sam is a graduate of Rockwood Leadership Institute, founded multiple nonprofits & was the Board Pres. for Ted Turners Bozeman Youth Initiative. In 2007 Sam moved back to Traverse City starting Porterhouse Presents hosting award-winning food & music events including 22 annual Microbrew & Music Festivals, Paella in the Park, The National Writers Series events, 250+ concerts, launched Tent Venue a turnkey 4000 cap mobile venue experience at SXSW to Indy 500. Currently, he is dedicated to a legendary Mt Mancelona ski resort property to be a 4-Season Festival & Outdoor Rec Venue for retreats, incubating startups, manufacturing, technical & media startups & 5 stages for over 10k plus cap for transformational experiences. His vision is to build a proof of concept & replicate for the over 500 closed community ski hills in the US mainly in small rural towns.
