Backups Remediation (Concept) A concept study of Affinity Water's backup strategy reviewing our requirements & making recommendations for future investment. 2. Market Reform Following the government led initiative Open Water 2017, the Water Retail Market was split into two sections, household customers and non-household (business) customers. I was seconded to Affinity for Business, Affinity Water's entry to this new market, to deliver the Managed Services Agreement for all services procured through Affinity Water as it's parent company. I was also tasked with documenting the IT Architecture of Affinity for Business in a non-technical manner and reviewing and updating their Backup and Business Continuity strategy. I also delivered a project focusing on a full O365 tenancy and Active Directory domain migration in 3 weeks before Market Go-Live with zero impact to the business. -

Asset Strategy - Asset Engineer My first placement, covering the delivery of 2 medium scale projects. A review of unmeasured household consumption through a customer survey achieving 72% response rate followed by detailed analysis on the data. This formed the basis of the company's values for unmeasured per capita consumption. A review of the Minor Components (small water usage that adds up) that make up part of total water usage in our area. 2. Wholesale Operations - Business AnalystMy second placement working with the Project Team developing Maximo, our new works management system. I process mapped some of our operational customer journeys to be used in Maximo development. I also managed a self started project looking at standardising the hours that were spent on completing the different types of operational work in the company, creating detailed reports showing productivity through these standardised times. These reports were used to encourage productivity of our field teams.3. IT Service Management - IT Service AnalystMy third placement covered IT Service Management, where I delivered a number of projects & experienced ITIL based IT service management from the service desk to change, problem and incident management. I delivered a new room booking system in O365, replacing a legacy system and developed a sharepoint based timesheet tool, forecasting & recording IT staff timesheets. 4. IT Programme Management - Junior IT Project ManagerMy fourth and final placement was in IT Programme Management, where I supported and delivered projects covering IT Security. I worked on a Joiners Movers Leavers project focusing on the cleansing of our HR, Payroll and Access Card databases and putting processes in place to ensure a robust "JML" for the future of the company. I also Project Managed the Water Innovators Team where we raised over £3000 for WaterAid and won an award for our focus on learning and development. -
