I am a Partner at Deloitte Australia with over 18 years’ of professional and deal experience, primarily assisting institutional investors (PE and infra funds) and corporates in Australia and Europe, with a strong focus on the infrastructure deals market, and healthcare, tech and associated industries. After six years in Sydney during 2014-2020, I moved back to Brisbane to be closer to my family and continue to work on deals nationally. Highlight deal creds include: KKR/Skip's proposed acquisition of QAL (Qld Airports Ltd), public to private of MAHB (owner of KL International and other airports), sale of Melbourne Ro-Ro terminal MIRRAT, acquisition of Cura Day Hospitals, supporting Telstra in their InfraCo separation, acquisition of PresMed Day Hospitals, sale of Everlight Radiology, the sale of MedicalDirector, GIP's acquisition of QCLNG Common Facilities, sell side of TEG (Ticketek), buy side of TransGrid, the acquisition of NSW Land and Property Information, the hugely successful Menulog sale and SAI Global's public to private takeover.During 2011-2014, I was based in London, working on deals such as the Stansted Airport VDD, the Pinnacle Sports acquisition in the Caribbean, numerous ports (Euroports, Vlissingen and Skandia container terminal), regulated utilities (Yorkshire Water VDD, Sutton & East Surrey Water acquisition, Phoenix Natural Gas buy side) and other tech and infra deals. My foundation experience was broad, in PwC's PrivateClients team in Brisbane for almost 5 years, advising inbound multinationals and large privately held businesses on all matters of their finance, accounting and tax affairs. This included everything from formal audit liaison, statutory accounts preparation and tax structuring advice to more general 'outsourced CFO' functions such as monthly management account compilation, general bookkeeping, GST and weekly payroll tax runs.I have now fully settled back into Brisbane life, where I live in Red Hill, which backs onto a creek where I frequently walk my dog (a westie named Finley) with young son Nicholas and my lovely wife Tiffany. Less frequently I enjoy going for a run.
