BPSS Senior Engineer, Supporting customers all over EMEA with consultancy, design and development, upgrades and integrations of various Nokia offerings including SNMP management systems, SDN platforms (software defined networking), & Data Analytics utilizing various platforms including VMware/Kubernetes/K8s/helm/Linux/Vertica and oracle

I work as part of a small distributed team to provide network management/project support for the Nokia Network management software (5620SAM) throughout the EMEA region. I provide proof-of concepts, workshops, write technical procedural documents (MOP's), HLD's,LLD's and provide post sales activities whilst additionally supporting the installation and upgrade of Nokia's Network management systems and the integration of customer OSS and network provisioning.My role is a 60/40 split between the UK and the European continent where i work with Product managers, Regional managers, Account managers, Network Architects and stakeholders to ensure that projects revolving around their network management systems are completed on time and on budget.

I provide Network Management expertise for handling our IP product portfolio within EMEA related to Installation and upgrades/demo's of our Network Management software, Additionally I provide Proof-of Concepts, Workshops and/or Post-Sales activities.Project support of 5620SAM Installation & Upgrade activities. Capture customer requirements, define relevant Usecases and work out a corresponding list of required features & capabilities, and convert Usecase/Features into Testcases/Testplan.Troubleshoot and problem-solve customer support requests, often working closely with the engineering team to resolve issues.My role involves considerable amounts of travel all over Europe and the Middle-East,Russia,South Africa and Canada. Whilst additionally I am also Responsible for 5620 SAM solution (Service Aware Management), installation & commissioning in the European/Middle-East region, upgrade methodology, testing and implementation during pre & post-sales phases. Prepare and deliver design proposals (with support of IP architects). Give technical presentations and workshops to internal and external customers.I Work with multiple points of contact, such as product managers, project managers, Emea/Meta Regional managers up to director level. Third party stakeholders and network architects to ensure requests revolving around their network architecture in relation to our SNMP software (5620SAM) are resolved in a timely manner and that projects/upgrades/ installations are completed within the specific Network freeze time window.

Investigate and Liaise with with customer NOC Engineers, R&D teams from around EMEA/Meta/Nar to resolve issues relating to the Alcatel-lucent's 5620SAM (service aware manager) Network management software by utilising remote connection to customers networks Maintain and if necessary building a replica of customer networks in our network laboratory to replicate and diagnose customer issues whilst additionally performing testing before deployment on their networks.Maintain relationships and convey technical detail to customers who do not necessarily speak English as a first language.Utilise Linux (Redhat)VNCVM workstation ESXVI, Hyper VHP Server configuration and deployment
