I am currently a student at John Hampden Grammar School completing a-levels in Economics (predicted A), Geography (predicted A*) and History (predicted A*). At GCSEs I achieved two grade 9s ( A**), six grade 8s (A*) and one grade 7 (A). I am a hardworking and dedicated student who is always willing to learn, as portrayed by my grades.I have played football for professional football academies since the age of 5. I played for Brentford F.C. academy from 2011-2013, Oxford United F.C. academy from 2014-2023 and Maidenhead United F.C. academy from 2023- present. This has taught me how to work under pressure from a young age while being heavily scrutinized. Furthermore, I frequently captained the side when playing for Oxford, teaching me the value of leadership skills and how to motivate.Over the summer of 2024 I completed an internship at a life science recruitment firm in Penn. This allowed me to test taught economic theory in real business scenarios by learning how clients and customers demand reacted to changing fees or flexible pay packages. Moreover, the experience allowed me to develop my soft skills further and understand how sales techniques influence consumer behaviour. I found it extremely interesting how consumers tended to act more true to behavioural economics then rational economics. Bounded rationality played a major role in this with both clients and candidates alike preferring to act quickly on initial information instead of spending longer to make more informed choices Worked for 3 months over summer for Absolute Taste as a fine dining waiter at Garsington Opera. Taught me how to manage client expectations and how to prioritize tasks.
