Working within the FM admin team, I assisted the facilities managers and property surveyors with the day to day running of the portfolio. This portfolio consists of a range of commercial and retail properties, across the UK utilising manned teams, as well as roaming facilities managers. I assisted in various tender exercises, assisting the Head of FM Operations and the Procurement Manager in the collation of site data, supplier information and material costs for a range of products including lift tenders, M & E providers, lone worker applications and global IT solutions. I managed the administration of the vacant unit portfolio; working with the main contractor and sub contractors to ensure that the service provided meets the scope of works and is within the clients budgets. Managing this portfolio required me to ensure that contractor invoices are accurate, on time and distributed accordingly.

I assisted with the design and creation of the company’s first UK distribution centre. This consisted of me working with a small management team to ensure that the site contractors were working within the company’s timeframe and budget, as well as making on the ground decisions on layout design. An additional project was the setting up the centre’s waste strategy and tendering the day to day cleaning. Upon the completion of the build I recruited, trained and managed a team of twenty operatives tasked with providing an on time and cost efficient service to the 17 UK stores for the companies major sports brands. Most noticeably, Quechua, the mountain sports brand. This role required me to forecast and plan my teams requirements in advance and ensue that the team were suitably equipped to deal with the stores’ demand.

Whilst the team dealt with many tasks, such as affiliation payments and athlete registration. I took on the role of administration and organising the logistical support for the coach education courses in the Midlands and South West regions and nationally for officials courses.
