As a highly self-motivated and enthusiastic marine biology undergraduate at the University of Salford, I am passionate about the conservation of our oceans and the environment. My expertise in producing high-quality written scientific reports, coupled with my experience in planning, monitoring and delivering projects, has allowed me to develop practical skills including managing risk through detailed risk assessments.When working as a Junior Data Analyst at Arete Zero Carbon, I was tasked with working on high-level, large datasets and calculating carbon footprints for global companies. My responsibilities included presenting quality reports to clients that effectively visualise their Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. My ability to work with complex data sets and to draw meaningful insights from them allowed me to excel in this position.My deep-seated passion for marine conservation and environmental science has been an ongoing pursuit since childhood. In 2019, I achieved a PADI Open Water Diver Certification, which has further fueled my desire to explore the depths of the ocean. I am eager to expand on this experience in the near future.In June 2023, I underwent a 30-day volunteering stint in Fiji where I gathered critical data underwater and educated locals. This provided me with a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution towards marine conservation, while also broadening my understanding of marine biology and environmental science.In summary, my experience, coupled with my passion and drive, make me an excellent candidate for any role in the marine biology, environmental science or data analysis fields.
