Completed a consulation service to Woodside Operational Technology Project Team in coordinating the compilation of the OT Cypher Security Governance Facility Manuals for each Asset. Working in the oil and & gas industry for 16 plus years and before that, engineering studies and engineering drafting, it was time to step out to management the renovation of my family’s home. The renovation/extension project was no small project and has required the application of all my skills and experience that I have accumulated over the many years both as an engineer and a draftsperson. It has taken to me where I began when I left school; building design and reviewed what I have accomplished since. I have created many things in my professional career though none as fulfilling as this project for the result is one I could assessed, concept, design, developed and executed. Delivered integrated plans for Woodside operated FPSOs requiring the incorporation of related functional plans and identifying impacts to operations due to concurrent activities, safety implications and impacts to production. These plans (using Primavera) were created for various horizons: 28 days (execution period), 120 days (short term) and 2 years (medium term). Each horizon had different context, objectives, stakeholder engagement, and management approval. The 120 day and 28 day horizons included management of non-core crew travel and facilities People on Board (PoB).

Evaluate (assess and concept select phases) brownfield developments to determine the suitability of the opportunity against business and technical strategies before handover to projects to Develop and Execute.

Managed and advised business risk across business functions (subsurface, engineering, drilling & completions, and production projects group), opportunities (Xena & Laverda), and projects (North Rankin 2 & Goodwyn Western Flank-1). A major element of this role was to embed the risk management framework to satisfy Corporate Risk Management policies and procedures (building bow-ties to be ‘in line of sight’ of corporate objectives).

In this role I held the following roles: - Woodside Management standard - This short term placement was to formally document the various stages of well lifecycle for the development of the “Well Lifecycle Operating Standard” for submission/approval to the Operating Standards Committee.- Development completion engineer - A project needed the concept select phase to be fast tacked for three different offshore subsea tie-back options to meet future production targets. The well design was fairly simple though each tie-back option had technical aspects that impacted and complicated the well material design. - QA/QC engineer to supported the QA/QC manager to address areas for improvement within the D&C function. 1) Action tracking system (ATS), 2) Software upgrade for the online daily well operations report, 3) Refurbishing the existing risk management process (Operational risks)- Well Technical Integrity custodian - Facilitated the well integrity process for all Woodside’s producing and non-producing wells. The role involved chairing the monthly meeting with asset stakeholders, incorporating all learnings and changes into integrity documentation, managing the Well Integrity ATS ensuring the closing out of all high priority actions, reporting any high rated incidents to relevant authorities, training personnel and facilitating incident investigation (including risk assessment). The role extended to other areas such as gathering complete historical wells schedule data for future benchmarking and learnings, and completion diagram company standardisation.- Completions engineer - Developed subsea oil & gas wells for operational assets located in the Australian region. The role involved designing and identifying equipment to meet asset criteria defined in the basis of well design criteria. This included building costs and schedule estimates.

Provided oil & gas well technical and management consulting services to a range of clients including Woodside, Apache, Agip, Santos, and Nexen, as well as supporting the AWT leadership team. This was my first role after graduation and provided broad experience to the oil and gas industry. I subsequently specialised in the area of well completions and well integrity.
