I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration. I currently working at This Life, having joined all the way back in 2012. I spent my first 3 years here working as a Program Officer working to support and transform the life of minors in conflict with the law. I then advanced into a Program Coordinator role, leading the This Life Beyond Bars program(TLBB), and This Life In Family Program (TLIF) team. For the TLBB, I support the team to operate the program activities in three geographic areas; Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, and Phnom Penh to support juveniles with vocational skills and life skills for successful reintegration upon release. For TLIF, I work to coordinate the team to support vulnerable families at risk of separation when a parent comes into conflict with the law.In July 2022, having accomplished so much at every level he worked at with TLC, he was promoted to Children and Families Section Lead overseeing five programs to protect and support children and enable them to remain within or return to their families and communities. These five programs include; 1. This Life Beyond Bars aims to increase the skills, knowledge and family connections of children and young people in prison and to aid successful integration back into their communities upon release2. This Life in Family aims to support and preserve vulnerable families at risk of separation to safely remain together.3. This Life Reimagining Care aims to contribute to the reduction of children in residential care institutions in Cambodia, increase the capacity of social workers to undertake quality reintegrations, and promote family based care.4. This Life Without Bars aims to ensure children in conflict with the law are able to access alternative measures to custodial sentences, also known as diversionary measures, where appropriate. 5. This Life New Horizons aims to strengthen the Capacity and Knowledge of Care Leavers where former RCI residents are brought together voluntarily to achieve their full potential. Access to education, shared experiences, knowledge, counseling, mentorship, and other support will be provided.
