I am recently completed a Supply chain/Continuous improvement internship at NMHG in Brazil. My responsibilities there were to extract large data sets from our SAP system in order to construct and develop models to improve and better monitor our inventory, receiving, and delivery processes. More specifically, my responsibilities included:Developing and implementing metrics relating to supply chain process improvement (On-time supplier shipment & working capital indicators).Constructing Lead Time metrics to improve order fulfillment (SAP, MAS, MRP).Identifying process redundancies and increasing inventory monitoring efficiencies (Duplicate purchase order elimination, obsolete/slow moving/IOH evaluations).

My position in the PMO department allowed me to interact with various departments across the business and observe and learn how to map out projects and monitor their progress through completion. One of the most valuable leadership skills I learned while there was how and when to encourage a department to complete their initiatives and when to allow them work without added pressure from leadership.
