I took part in Summer Internship (2018) in the Quality Control Microbiology Department in MSD Brinny where I was exposed to such methods as: • Use of autoclave • Environmental monitoring, • Water quality control, • Continuous improvement of laboratory protocols

I was awarded. and completed the APC summer student bursary in Moorepark Fermoy entitled “A Search for Novel Microbes: The Cow Rumen Microbiome” where I acquired such skills as: • The preparation of growth media. • Use of both Coy and gloveless anaerobic chambers. • Molecular techniques. Such as the preparation and subsequent PCR amplification and analysis of 16srRNA gene. • Use of specialty equipment such as the autoclave, the thermal cycler, the flow hood and the transilluminator.
