As a seasonal worker with the Vermont River Conservancy, I worked on a small field crew building and maintaining public access to Vermont's rivers and streams in every corner of the state. We constructed stairs using natural stones, installed small boat ramps, walkways, and composting privies, in an effort to provide all Vermonters with free access to its streams and rivers.Summer work also entitled outreach & storytelling for the VRC. I attended a Storytelling Workshop on their behalf where we learned how to leverage storytelling as a marketing tool for your non-profit. Through this, I learned that any company can and should leverage authentic storytelling to connect with their base.
