About Sam Welch

I am the Director of Engineering at Equipment and Controls Inc, where I lead an outstanding group of engineers, designers and specialists, working in industrial controls. As an Emerson Impact Partner, we specialize in Emerson's DeltaV DCS, however we also work across numerous PLC platforms and are expanding services in the growing Industrial Software space. I have 15+ years as an Electrical and Controls Systems Engineer, designing, programming and commissioning automation solutions for customers using PLC and DCS control systems. I have lead and managed numerous projects locally and overseas, and through a full project life-cycle, including: design and specification of project scope; development of a functional specification; procurement and configuration of hard/software; design, programming and testing of code and HMIs; commissioning and field-engineering. My career has been spent working for integrators, which has nurtured a strong focus on customer satisfaction. I work on the philosophy that doing things correctly pays long term dividends - for myself, my customers and my company.
