Responsibilities:• Assist in the development of digital solutions using a variety of web technologies.• Ensure coding standards are adhered to.• Work closely with other staff, such as Developers, Project/Account Managers and Business Analysts.

During the traineeship, I learned about the fundamentals of software development and gained experience with the following technologies: • Front End: HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript (including React) and jQuery. • Backend: PHP, C#, Java, Python and Node.js. • Database: MySQL and SQL. • Other: Git / GitHub, API’s and basic TDD (Mocha).Also as part of the traineeship, I earned my MTA 98-383 certification and successfully developed two projects based on real-world concepts.Project 1 - Gazeteer:The Gazetteer is an interactive single page geolocation map application, that works well across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. The Gazetteer provides the user with a variety of information on a selected country. This information includes demographic, climatic, geographical, currency exchange rate, Wikipedia, time and date, latest news and COVID-19 statistics. If permission is granted, the application also displays the user’s current location, as well as being able to track the International Space Station (ISS). • Technologies used: HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, PHP, cURL, Leaflet and numerous API’s.Project 2 - Company Directory:The Company Directory is a single page CRUD application, that works well across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. The Company Directory allows users to create, read, update and delete employee, department and location records within the Company Directory. • Technologies used: HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, PHP and MySQL.
