The CBRE SBL team was formed in 2015 consisting of myself and two others. Over the past 3 years, our production grew from ~$250MM to ~$1.3B and resulted in CBRE becoming the #1 Freddie Mac SBL Seller Servicer in 2017. To keep up with the business, our team grew from 3 to 20 and my role and responsibilities changed regularly based off areas of need. Some of my main responsibilities are outlined below.Oversaw my underwriting team's loan packages to ensure it meets internal credit parameters and investor compliance.Implemented procedures and training for staff development and program improvements.Acted as primary contact to assist production with their transactions and resolve underwriting issues.Maintained collaborative efforts among CBRE and Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae staff in deal structuring and negotiations. Planned and monitored staffing levels and workflow for maximum efficiencies and created new positions as needed. Oversaw deal management and work load of staff to ensure that timelines are met and loan closings occur to provide client's certainty of execution. Created and continuously improved the underwriting model that is being utilized by all staff for loan sizing.Developed and implemented with the Chief Underwriter relevant policies and procedures as well as training for both production and underwriting staff. Act as signing member of Loan Committee with signing authority on commitments.Trained and mentored staff to develop relevant skills for their professional growth
