First and foremost, I am a problem-solver. I like to challenge myself to understand how things work, and make intuitive changes that help businesses and systems function more effectively. This innate desire and passion to advance company projects through efficient, streamlined software drives me, and has allowed me to continue to grow and improve my programming skills. I come from a finance and operations background. Over the past summer, I built out internal systems and procedures at Craft Hot Sauce; I wrote, revised, and tested internal company processes for adding website content, running farmers markets, and recording financial data, increasing direct-to-consumer sales per market by 25%, and raising our online store conversion rate by 39%. While many of my assignments weren’t code-based, I utilized my problem-solving skills to make decisions that would move the company forward, and learned how to analyze and sort large amounts of financial data. Over the past semester, I worked on a consulting project for the Tufts Consulting Collective, where my team worked with a significant Boston institution its yearly induced and direct economic impact to the Boston area. I collaborated with team members to standardize our quantitative model and deliverables, and utilized strong reasoning skills to propose changes that would have the greatest positive impact. Our teams model and deliverables will serve as a vital part of a planned multi-million dollar fundraising round over the next few years.My love for problem-solving, and for making the world a better place through intuitive adjustments and careful design has drawn me to coding. Through a rigorous Tufts course-load, I have developed C++ programming skills, and familiarized myself with Python and Github in my own time.
