My research expertise is in the area of cell biology and metabolism, whereby I independently led a project to study endothelial cells in the context of diabetes.• Planning, initiating, executing experiment and completing multiple concurrent research projects, including data collection, analyzing data and reporting results, presentation and writing manuscript and regulatory submissions• Secured $183,000 of funding through competitive grant competitions to fund my research leading to 1 publication in a peer-reviewed journal, 2 manuscripts under preparation and 1 poster presentation• Spearheading the development of novel advanced imaging techniques to better characterize biological processes (combining correlative image analysis, transmission electron microscopy, confocal microscopy and super-resolution microscopy)• Executing protocols for human primary cell culture and mammalian cell lines• Developed multiple laboratory protocols for a wide variety of cell biology applications, now usedroutinely by all members in the lab• Mentoring personnel, including 3 undergraduate students and collaborators (visiting researchers)• Consultant as Expert Reviewer in an international research journal (Traffic) and on grant committees(BBDC)

As a member of the committee, I was responsible to implement the scientific review of the Summer Studentships, Annual Trainee Awards, Trainee Travel Awards funding programs as well a ranking and selecting top abstracts for grants or oral/poster presentation at the annual BBDC meetings
