The Far North is the northernmost district in New Zealand and shares its southern boundary with Kaipara and Whangarei Districts. The remainder of the district is surrounded by sea. With 7,323.86 km2, the Far North District is the largest of the three districts and is ranked third in terms of land area covered by district and city councils in New Zealand.The Far North District Council currently comprises a Mayor and nine Councillors who represent the three wards within the District. The District Council is responsible for establishing policies and strategies determining the overall direction of Council.My purpose as General Manager Corporate Services is to lead the delivery of the organisation's Corporate Services through the creation and execution of strategic improvements aligned to the external Council strategies.
