I read and help make decisions on international student applications from all around the world and then help the students with their immigration to allow them to enter the US once they have decided to attend. I also completed international transfer credit evaluations and assisted with a multitude of other admissions-related projects.

My main responsibilities were answering phones and emails in the Undergraduate International Admissions Office. I also helped senior staff plan their travel, took the lead on admissions-related projects (letter-packing, for example), coordinated student workers, and assisted with a number of other projects.

As ASC English School’s office manager, I was responsible for the management of ASC's branch office in Chinatown. My main responsibilities included answering the phones, organizing the office, data entry, creating monthly reports, and managing both the adult ESL program and the youth study programs. For the ESL program, I greeted potential students and helped them apply, guiding them through the I-20 transfer process, and then registered them for classes. I was also in charge of enforcing school policies with regard to conduct, vacation, registration packages, etc. For the youth education program, I helped parents (many of whom were native Chinese speakers who spoke minimal English) register their children. In addition to these duties, I also was in charge of tracking the daily sales for the Chinatown location, placing students into their appropriate classes, speaking to teachers and students to resolve any issues, and communicating with the Main Office when necessary to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy with our records.
