I am a Jewelry Designer at Lauren's Hope. We design and manufacture bracelets that save lives! Our designs are modern and beautiful, and pared with a custom engraved medical alert tag. Most medical jewelry offered to patients, are bland and generic, we offer style. Each bracelet is designed in house and made by hand in our production department.

I design contemporary jewelry from porcelain and silver. I use metalworking techniques to enhance the ceramic parts.

As a bench jeweler I was a part of a team we polished pieces that were ordered by customers, we assisted with R&D, and maintained our quality standards. When new inventory was received we examined the products for irreparable flaws, or fixed the product. Daily activities included polishing 100+ pieces a day on lathes, cleaning, and plating primarily silver pieces. We work with Gold, White Gold, Silver, Argentium, Stainless Steel, Brass, Bronze, and Titanium. Providing assistance to other team members in different areas, such as packaging and shipping, Laser engraving. I am trained on Rofin easy Jewel, and Laser Star iWeld.

As the studio assistant, I would open the metals studio on the evenings and weekends for students to work on projects. I would clean and organize, occasionally run errands for the staff. I assisted students with technical difficulties, and when they needed an extra person for casting or other processes.

I doubled as a Ceramics teacher and Camp councilor. I taught girls from ages 7 to 15 ceramics for 8.5 weeks. The duties included loading and unloading ceramic sculptures and pots of students work, firing the kiln, mixing clay, mixing glazes. Daily demonstrations of simple projects and basic techniques to throwing on the electric wheels. As a councilor I stayed in the cabins with six, 7-9 year olds. Caring for them, playing games, eating, and cleaning up after them. This was a temporary 9 week summer internship.
