Project Coordinator, Accommodations
CurrentCoordinates, controls, and administers the planning, design, construction/renovation and commissioning of Regional projects and monitors/accepts contractor work; provides space planning, drawing management, design services and furniture inventory in support of projects. - Knowledge of architectural systems in space planning, interior design, and use of AuoCAD.- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (lighting, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning). Knowledge of construction trades and technology including site grading, drainage, paving, roofing, concrete and masonry, structural steel, and sewage systems.- Use of Ontario Building Code.- CSA Standards, forms of agreement.- Knowledge of contract law as it relates to building construction and renovation projects. - Computer skills with ability to use software such as MS Office, databases, and AutoCAD, including drawing management and production of construction contract drawings. - Organizational skills to create work schedules, prioritize and prepare. - Write construction reports using technical vocabulary, log reports, and letters to contractors, architects, and consultants, and prepare and present reports to senior staff or committees as required. - Conduct training and prepare presentations using varied media and graphics.
