We employ a variety of methods to visualize how people move through space: 3D motion capture, video coding, digital pressure mats, motion sensor technology, etc. As an undergraduate research assistant, I assist in running data collections on obese patients at Boston Medical Center to analyze how massive weight loss affects crossing obstacles. Additionally, I use video coding technology to assess walking patterns among twin toddlers. This lab also has a class component in which we read and discuss scientific literature. Most recently, we have submitted a paper to the journal "Clinical and Translational Science" which has been approved and is set to be published.
