With over 15 years non executive experience in regulated and non-regulated organisations, I am former Chair of Amber Housing, a housing organisation providing housing for people with additional needs, and previously a board member on a variety of boards including the Royal Air Forces Association, RAFA Housing, and Harrison Housing. I am currently trustee of Bexhill Heritage Society, a local charity, and am a Grants and Support Committee Member of the Chartered Secretaries' Charitable Trust.My board specialisms include:- Governance- Organisational strategy- Risk management.My executive role is Chief Executive of Gene People, a national charity focused on providing support and advice to people living with genetic conditions and their families, and the condition-specific support groups that serve their communities. I have worked in the charity sector for over 25 years, with the last eight in chief executive roles. I hold a Distinction in my MSc in Voluntary Sector Management from Bayes Business School.
