- Develop and implement an overall sourcing & procurement management strategy, then design and develop the target operating model to deliver on the approved strategy- Work with executive leadership to design, develop, and implement communications strategy that supports organizational change and adoption of the sourcing & procurement policies, procedures, and strategies- Understand and implement corporate sourcing, vendor and procurement management requirements to support business units in their vendor management needs- Manage all aspects of procurement related activities, such as processing purchase requisitions, creating purchase orders, building and maintaining supplier relationships, contract negotiations, requesting quotes for new and existing suppliers- Review and negotiate contracts/purchase agreements with vendors, subcontractors, and external clients to define acceptable contract language with the direction and support of firm administrative personnel- Place purchase orders, monitor open purchase orders, review and approve vendor invoices, and perform an important role in fixed asset management- Implement and maintain contract management software for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance to contracts- Manage the vendor contract database, as well as vendor performance and satisfaction - Monitor and manage contract expiration dates and perform closing activities as needed- Identify and implement new opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings, cost avoidance and proactively track progress towards these objectives
