About Samantha Gayfer

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve several organizations during times of legacy building—whether developing multi-million dollar endowments, advising senior leaders on navigating crises, or creating islands visible from space. I believe trust and relationships are central to every organization's success. With over two decades of award-winning global experience in all facets of relationship-building, communications, marketing, fundraising, crisis management and strategic leadership, I have proven expertise in converting strategy into action. Combining a strategic mindset, business acumen and dedication to mission integrity, I help leaders edit business decisions to build and protect their personal and organizational legacies. My agency career has taken me from work in Canada on some of the world's most recognized brands including Pepsi, Bacardi, Quaker, Tropicana, Gerber, SC Johnson Wax, Novartis and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to the UAE, where I added Air Miles, Emirates, DHL, Porsche, Unilever and Johnson & Johnson to my portfolio. While in the UAE, I spent almost a decade supporting billion-dollar international hotel and residential developer IFA Hotels & Resorts' global expansion. With IFA HR, I drove its corporate communications, branding, PR, crisis management, investor relations and CSR strategy. IFA’s operational asset portfolio includes properties built and managed by Fairmont, Sheraton, Four Seasons, Kempinski, YOTEL and Legend Lodges across Africa, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. During my tenure, I managed IFA HR's communications strategy regarding its case in the Dubai World Tribunal and led the billion-dollar company through its corporate re-branding and helped launch several new business ventures. From hospitality, I pivoted to the non-profit education sector and have lived or worked in the UAE, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, China, South Korea, and Singapore, leading schools in their most senior marketing communications and philanthropy roles. With The Jane Group, I had the honour of working with international schools to train senior leaders on managing and mitigating crises. Through The Discovery Group, I continue to support the social profit sector through strategy, research, case development and more.
