One project in particular that perfectly encompasses Samantha's managerial style was completing a proposal with the goal of being awarded the role of Developer for a school solar installation in a nearby town. Every member of our team was responsible for writing a section of the proposal, and Samantha upheld the continuity of the project in its entirety. She familiarized herself with the intricacies of the requirements for submittal, devised a creative angle by which we could best market ourselves, and designated tasks according to who would be best suited. She then met with each of us individually to flesh out the scope of the project and make sure we were secure in our understanding of what needed to be accomplished. But from there we were left to be creative and independent in our writing. Once completed, we submitted our parts to Samantha who reviewed our work and made edits that assimilated our words into the overall piece. She fully internalized what each of us had to say and successfully patched it together as one clearly stated and fluid final product. This in a nutshell is what I believe makes Samantha an outstanding leader. I always feel incredibly well-respected and as though I have a voice that matters, but I also trust that she will be honest with me when my work needs adjustment. For any project that Samantha is involved with, I can envision nothing less than a highly motivated team by her side and an exceptional job well done in the end. Working with Samantha has substantially impacted my development both personally and professionally. I have acquired a tremendous confidence in myself to accomplish anything sent my way and to overcome any obstacle in my path, inside or outside of work. I am now excited by the prospect of new and unfamiliar projects on the horizon. She has shown me that these are just new opportunities to challenge myself, learn something new, and grow from the experience.
