Engaged in community outreach, built constituent relationships, and fostered positive connections by sending personal and mass emails with Mailchimp and Google Mail. Additional responsibilities included attending bill meetings, staying updated on recent Senate and House bills, and contributing to informed community-focused strategies. I managed Google spreadsheets to keep track of local businesses, parks, and events. I updated spreadsheets and made phone calls to constituents to inform them of the unclaimed funds held by the state. I also participated in marketing community events, set up resources, and volunteered at local food banks to support those in need.

I worked with council members and at-risk youth to create policies to improve the Cook County criminal justice system and reduce incarceration and recidivism rates. We closely worked with incarcerated youth to understand the hardships encountered in the Cook County justice system. We conducted meetings with legal authority figures such as parole officers, family court judges, sheriffs, etc. Researched existing laws, resources, and statistics of jailing conditions. We used that research to tailor our recommendations further. We presented these recommendations to the Cook County Board of Commissioners. I played a greater role in the presentation because I introduced and facilitated the entire discussion for a recommendation.
