About Samantha King

I love to create like the chef that I am and lead like the educator I am.From the 10 years of restaurant experience to the 3 years in education, I have enjoyed the many positions throughout my experience in both industries. After completing my M.A.T program at Johnson & Wales University, I had began working for Achievement First Providence Academy Middle School where I have received many opportunities to create and lead.Upon obtaining my role, I had become the founder of the Culinary Arts & Nutrition enrichment program. In this role, I had written the curriculum that is designed to teach grades 5, 6, 7 and 8. The curriculum embodies the many culinary arts foundational skills and techniques while integrating the teachings of nutrition. Further, this curriculum is then executed with the core goal of having a student-driven classroom environment.When I am not teaching, I am creating and indulging in a variety of activities. I have found interest in food blogging, food filmography, landscape photography and exploring my green thumb through houseplants!
