About DECA:DECA is a business case competition organization that prepares students and emerging leaders in sectors such as finance, hospitality & tourism, marketing, business management, and entrepreneurship.Unionville's DECA Chapter:DECA is by far the largest club at our school with 153 members, a 200% membership increase over the four years I've been a part of it. Each year our chapter expands to include more members as a result of the high demand.Roles and Responsibilities- Manages and oversees all DECA Unionville operations, meetings and functions- Develops a year-round plan and focus for the chapter - Manages budgets and allocates funding alongside teacher advisors - Responsible for the management of an executive team and the coordination and delegation of all executive members duties - Coordinates training, fundraising, and oversees special event planning- Establishes communication between the chapter advisors, the executive team and the chapter members- Qualified and competed at the International Career Development Conference three times

About the Page Program:This unique educational experience for Ontario students provides an opportunity to experience the provincial legislature in action. Each year approximately 150 young students from across Ontario are selected to participate in Ontario's Legislative Page Program. Legislative Pages meet key parliamentary and political figures, and learn first-hand about Ontario’s Parliament and the legislative process. Roles and Responsibilities- Assists and serves the Members of Provincial Parliament and all members of the House- Executes duties with impartiality and professionalism- Balances school work with the demands of page program duties - Developes knowledge of the rules of legislature, the MPPs, their ridings, political party, the Cabinet Ministers and the seating plan- Works collaboratively with the other Pages to ensure that legislative assembly sessions run smoothly
