Responsible for capital raising and investor relations for Visible Hands VC, a venture capital firm which invests in underrepresented entrepreneurs launching high-growth tech startups at the pre-seed stage. Managed correspondence and outreach to existing and potential limited partners (LPs), and attended all investor meetings. Developed all VH pitch materials, and created quarterly LP updates. Prepared all due diligence responses, and crafted VH submissions to RFPs. Project management, process improvement, systems development, data analysis and reporting, strategic planning, and executive support for the general partners. Managed relationship with Aduro (fund administrator) and directed internal fund operations such as subdocs and capital calls.Developed and submitted successful applications for State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) funding for the New York State Emerging and Regional Partner Program Fund and New York State Community and Regional Partner Fund.Led “operation pixar” storytelling overhaul, developing a formal narrative workshop with a top consultant: mapping the firm's strengths, headwinds and tailwinds, heuristic resources, and storytelling framework, culminating in a new pitch deck. Planned successful LP fundraising events in Boston and NYC.

Raised $57M for Congressman Tim Ryan’s campaign for United States Senate. Raised $2.5M for the Tim Ryan Victory Fund. Oversaw donor relations, pipeline building, and donor outreach program, as well as in-state events, raising $6.5M from candidate calls and $3.1M from Ohio events during this period. Planned 45 events, from cultivated, small group dinners to 300+ person fundraisers. Planned and executed major surrogate events including Secretary Hillary Clinton, Paul Simon, Dave Matthews, and Jackson Browne.

Planned and executed Equity in Entrepreneurship Salon in October 2021, an in-person fundraising event hosted by MassChallenge: a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship through a competition-based accelerator model. Designed event concept centered on addressing systemic inequities in high-growth entrepreneurship, splitting proceeds with black-led organizations including Hack.Diversity, YW Boston, and the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts. Raised $60,500, exceeding event goal of $20,000. Worked to cultivate relationships and make introductions to prospective donors, resulting in an additional $25,000 direct gift to the initiative.

Built finance program from scratch, recruiting and training a ragtag fundraising team for Hosanna Yemiru’s campaign for Dallas City Council D-11. Yemiru, a first-time candidate and 22-year-old immigrant, completed 335 hours of call time and raised $103,000, outraising every other candidate in the field as well as 47 of 55 candidates running in Dallas in May 2021.

Wrote campaign plan for New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s 2021 re-election campaign, crafting messaging framework, campaign platform, cycle budget, win number, org chart & staff structure, campaign calendar, and strategic imperatives across departments. She was re-elected outright in the November 2021 primary with 64.7% of the vote.

Recruited general consultant, wrote campaign budget, hired staff, and built out finance program to flip OH-SD6 — raised $400k, narrowed 2016 margin in SD-6 by 30 points, outperformed Joe Biden by 3 points and Desiree Tims by 10 points

Launched insurgent congressional campaign for Shawn Lassiter, a first-time candidate, in the TX-06 Special Election to fill the vacancy left after GOP Congressman Ron Wright passed away in February 2021. Responsible for setting the campaign’s overall strategy, managing the budget, as well as managing staff and consulting team. Assembled top-tier staff and consulting team, successfully utilizing early momentum from our viral campaign launch video to create a grassroots-driven organizing program that ultimately completed over 180k canvass attemptsRaised $450k in 72 days with 10.7k contributions from 8.7k individual donors, outraising every other Democrat in this 23-candidate jungle primary to flip a district where President Joe Biden received 48.5% of the vote in 2020

Directing and managing every aspect of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s fundraising program and leading the transition into the 2022 election cycle after raising $38.5M for the DPW operating account and funding a $60M coordinated campaign budget. Solely responsible for major donor relationships, staff management, updating and maintaining the finance plan, and compliance.

Developed, managed, and implemented the DPW finance plan as part of a record-breaking $38.5M program which raised 450% of original 2020 goal. As the second-ranking finance staffer reporting to the Senior Finance Advisor, oversaw the department’s day-to-day activities including staff and consultant management. Executed 39 fundraising events, oversaw call time program, managed relationships with major donors and finance committee, and regularly staffed principal Ben Wikler and surrogates. -- Raised $13.5M in Q3; Raised $10M in Q2 -- Led transition to all-virtual events with seven events raising over $250k, the best event-fundraising year in DPW history. -- Oversaw best call-time-fundraising year in DPW history for a total of $2.74M. Led call time audit that drastically increased performance (July call time raised $148k; August call time raised $287k; September call time raised $709k)-- Played a key role in designing and executing October 31st “Rocky Horror Show Livestream,” including the recruitment of national talent. Raising $800K, this was the second largest fundraising event in DPW history, after the September 13th Princess Bride Reunion, which raised $4.7M

Supported Finance Director as part of a three-person national fundraising team for Deval Patrick's 2020 Presidential Campaign, surpassing $3M goal set for funds raised before the NH primary. Developed and executed a call time program, staffing daily calls with Governor Deval Patrick- at times remotely- to dial for dollars and build Host Committees for national events. Oversaw research for prospective contributors, bundlers, and anchors for fundraisers in major US cities. Prepared weekly Finance Committee updates and candidate briefings. Raised $352,000 over twenty-four days through candidate and staff call time outreach, surpassing $300,000 goal. Managed supplemental call time outreach with candidate's spouse, Finance Committee members, surrogates, and staff.Implemented key programmatic systems including a finance plan, call time & pledge tracking, source code management, and operationalizing NGP 8.

Co-Founded Action New Orleans in November 2018. Raised over $1M, and successfully executed a "Vote No" campaign for March 30th council on Aging millage. Funded and led successful “Fair Share” pressure campaign, culminating in $250 million infrastructure deal with tourism industry and Gov. John Bel Edwards . Directed Get Out The Vote efforts in New Orleans to pass 4 ballot initiatives and increase voter turnout in Orleans Parish for Governor John Bel Edwards' re-election campaign. Oversaw the creation of a data driven field program with 92 paid fellows, knocking 70,000 doors and sending 350,000 targeted text messages. Coordinated with groups on the ground to achieve full coverage of churches, campuses, senior centers, and greek organizations. Rides to the polls, poll watching, voter protection. Promoted dozens of events during early vote and GOTV, including a concert with local New Orleans musicians and national headliners. Increased voter turnout by 28% between the 10/12 primary and 11/16 runoff, successfully passed 3 initiatives, and elected 3 endorsed candidates.
