I’m a Security Analyst with WSRB in the insurance industry. I started my career with the study of Clinical Engineering to help support patients through the technology side. As my journey continued, I pivoted to the supportive backbone of healthcare; information technology. I’ve had a passion for computing from a very young age, and I love to troubleshoot problems. I was successful in a service desk role until restructuring brought me to the patient side of healthcare. Through my role as a medical receptionist, I was able to enhance and develop soft skills that I still rely on today. During the height of the COVID-19 crisis, I was instrumental in the running of a respiratory clinic to service pediatric patients and provide virtual visits. My lifelong love of IT still called to me. To make my way back, I studied and passed the CompTIA A+ certification. Using this as a stepping stone, I joined WSRB’s Information Security Team. Through this role as a security analyst, I’m able to channel my love for investigating problems and providing unique solutions. I’ve also been able to tap into my creative side by creating challenging and realistic phishing tests to strengthen WSRB’s human firewall. I’m extremely lucky to work for an amazing company and a phenomenal team. Being a part of building a department from the ground up has been my single greatest accomplishment. I’m so excited to see where we will be 5, 10, and even 20 years down the line. With the support of WSRB and my team, anything feels possible.
