Advanced Command and Staff Course

High profile role with responsibility for all Logistic, Financial and Personnel issues within an organisational division of 3500 personnel. Further responsibility was taken on as Chief of Staff including the management of all operations and headquarters personnel. Reporting direct to the CEO, the role required planning for the transition and closure of the headquarters against a demanding timeline all whilst maintaining operational output. This role required exceptional change and project management, written and verbal communications, strong leadership, and trust in subordinates. All objectives were met successfully on time in full.

Complete responsibility for over 180 personnel and around £200 million worth of equipment, vehicles, fuel, ammunition, explosives and other logistic commodities. The principle role was to generate an organisation from a small core in readiness to deploy to Afghanistan and deliver operational excellence over a logistically demanding tour. On tour the core objectives were focused on reducing the logistic footprint to assist in the drawdown from Afghanistan. This role required a very wide range of skills from broader project management to enable the closure of 5 large warehouses, to the SQL programming of ORACLE discoverer to allow phased reductions in capacity.The achievements were significant reducing the logistic footprint by 75% and the manpower requirements by 50%. This was achieved whilst maintaining support to ongoing operations and moving circa £1 billion worth of assets through the Supply Chain. As a result awarded the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service in the Operational Honours list 2015. Overall the team made a significant contribution to the withdrawal from Afghanistan enabling elements to drawdown ahead of schedule and contributing to the wider teams success.This was reflected in the award of the European Supply Chain Excellence Award - Team of the Year 2014.

Responsible for a complex and evolving portfolio including Supply Chain Data Analysis, Requirements Setting, Project Management, Software Programming and Logistic Cost Analysis.Role also responsible for moving Urgent Operation Requirements to Operational Theatres, developing tracking systems and providing logistic data to a wide range of Defence Customers.Selected to step up into a senior role working directly to the Director of a Defence Strategic Business Unit. This role required in depth understanding of the organisation of Defence Equipment and Support as well as the SBU. Principal outputs were the management of the flow of work into and around the organisation and the coordination of decisional outputs.

Responsible for the in-depth leadership training of multiple groups of 30 new employees. The role included assessment, training, coaching and nurturing the development of individuals' key skills to enable their graduation from the world-renowned Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Responsible for the day to day running of a group of 80-120 men and all associated equipment. The role required the training and development of a large team to meet a demanding short notice Operational Requirement to deploy to Afghanistan. A multifaceted task both in the UK and Operations the job required knowledge of Equipment Care Management, Human Resource Management, Scheduling and all of the necessary knowledge to run a 24hr Operation in a demanding complex threat environment.

Responsible for the training and development of 50-60 young soldeirs.
