Ik ben gestart met Zwembad.shop tijdens de eerste lockdown van Covid-19. Met de verplichte sluiting van winkels en het prachtige weer wilden veel mensen hun zwembad opstarten, maar zij konden door de maatregelen geen zwembadproducten verkrijgen bij hun lokale winkels. Dit bracht me op het idee om een online winkel te openen, die al snel uitgroeide tot een begrip in de markt.Bij Zwembad.shop ligt de focus op zwembadaccessoires en toebehoren, waardoor we ons hebben gepositioneerd als dé specialist in deze sector.Na twee jaar succesvol ondernemen en een geslaagde kapitaalronde via WinWinner en de bank, is Zwembad.shop gedeeltelijk overgenomen door een grotere groep. Deze samenwerking stelt ons in staat om nog sneller te groeien, ondersteund door de juiste begeleiding en expertise.

I met Nathan, Metropoly’s co-founder, while we were both consulting for a San Francisco-based startup. We quickly realized that we made an excellent team, leading to the creation of Metropoly shortly thereafter.Metropoly began as a UX/UI and front-end development agency. We had the privilege of working with an impressive range of clients, primarily based in Belgium, the UK, and the US. Some of our key projects included: • Yurbi: Utilizing Big Data to enhance a SaaS platform for a Fortune 500 company. • xMatters: We were invited to San Francisco for an in-house kickoff, which resulted in an incredibly successful collaboration. • Beatswitch: A Belgian startup specializing in festival software development. • Purem: Crafting personalized URL marketing campaigns that stood out for their creativity.Additionally, we collaborated with notable organizations such as NASA, WWF, the Belgian Government, and the Cigital eLearning Portal.Based in the UK and managed remotely from Portugal, Metropoly grew to a team of up to nine professionals working worldwide. Eventually, we transitioned into a product-focused startup, which was later acquired by another company.
