Along with pitching, filming, editing and producing original content, I worked with presenters and correspondents on larger projects with multi-platform rollouts.Notable achievements:- Produced, directed and filmed a long-form documentary on the dark side of direct sales for BBC Three, BBC iPlayer and the News Channel, along with various versions that ran on Radio 4, online and other linear and digital platforms.- Filmed, produced and edited various other high-impact, multi-platform stories pincluding: an overseas mini documentary in Sri Lanka, which ran on the website, TV and Radio 4; powerful testimony from two rape survivors which generated an important discussion on social media and reached three quarters of a million views on Instagram; an international deployment focusing on Afghanistan's national girls' football team and the covert operation that enabled them to flee the Taliban; and an exclusive insight into two loan sharks’ operations for BBC Newsnight.- Collaborated with correspondents and other teams on special coverage, including a sensitive piece on the Venezuela blackouts and an exclusive insight into the work at Porton Down.- Worked on a 30-min long form documentary for BBC iPlayer on the impact of online forums on the chronic illness communities and a Panorama on the booming debt trap industry during the cost of living crisis.- Operated numerous multi-camera shoots with both broadcast quality cameras, gimbals and mobile technology. Additionally I had the responsibility of repurposing UGC and collaborating with BBC South Today and Radio Solent on larger projects.Notable achievements:- Enabled the team's goal of targeting underserved audiences and received a Royal Television Society award in recognition of the work we had done.- Produced 44 original videos including six viral videos which reached well over a million views on social media.- Managed BBC South News' Instagram account and developed a strategy which gained thousands of followers and significantly improved the engagement.- Voiced packages which led bulletins on BBC South Today and Radio Solent and also ran on the national BBC Breakfast channel. Alongside completing my degree in Multimedia Journalism I also worked part-time as a research assistant for the university. I carried out research for the university around the topic of 'excellence'. This involved utilising an Appreciative Inquiry method which used key touch-points to trigger the participant to discuss the topic in more depth. My main responsibilities involved interviewing the students and lecturers, general admin work and data analysis.
