Design, development and maintenance of advanced Portable Production Units for use in the Film and TV industry for uses such as web-broadcasting, live event IMAG video walls and onsite edit-during-ingest productions. Productions and live events using our solutions already include BBC Sport, the BBC Philharmonic, Kendal Calling, Live from Jodrell Bank, the Parklife Weekender and the Warehouse Project.Development of these systems has utilised the following technologies:C++11/Qt application engineering, Python3 server development, HTML5 websockets, advanced Linux server configuration (udev rules, raid management, driver development), microcontroller and electronics design and programming, design and 3D printing of custom hardware enclosures, realtime video transcoding and transport, iOS and Android application development.

Since 2006 I have been actively involved in various projects in the live and promotional music video sector with a wide range of roles and responsibilities. My work has mainly been via Surdevan Creative, a production company specialising in live-event music video production. I have been directly involved in all productions featured in their 2014 reel.My keen passion for creative filmmaking and knowledge of the driving technologies behind it's production have enabled myself to create a range of unique tools, allowing users more creative freedom and less hassle and overheads throughout production.Highlights include:- WHP 2012 Promo: Director of Photography- every Kendal Calling Festival from 2007 through to 2014: Camera operator and Vision Mixing technician- Live from Jodrell Bank Transmission Series: Camera operator and editor- Accenture Filmseason 2011 "One Minute Remake" Competition Winner (1st Prize - £5000): Director, Editor, Camera Operator, (bad) Actor.

Software design and development, network architecture design, and maintenance of bespoke cross-platform MultiTaction Installation consisting of five networked touchscreens, two front-end application machines with software written in C++/Qt, syncing live content from a remote server running a custom CMS implemented in PHP. All on-site machines required custom remote monitoring and power management solutions designed by myself and implemented on small microcontrollers for remote and physical access by clients. All networking required strict adherence to high security standards as the installation was located in the headquarters of a large UK company, who deal with banking and other sensitive information.Development of Augmented Reality scenarios using the Unity3d engine focusing on C# and OpenGLES shader programming for use in iOS, Android and Windows desktop applications. Notable responsibilities involved creating custom InstallShield .NET deployment packages supporting platforms from XP to Windows 8 and development of WPF tools and applications.
