I ran sound at an award-winning music venue in Denver until the pandemic closed the business. I orchestrated solo and full ensemble sound set ups, maintained high quality sound calibration throughout the performances, and made sure bands felt welcome and assured of my expertise for the evening. I also managed a tight schedule throughout the nights’ performances to make sure everything stayed on schedule; trickier than it seems with musicians. Each show was demanding and complex, but after years as Head Engineer running over 1,000+ shows, I have learned to manage the events so musicians don’t feel stressed and the shows go smoothly. At the request of performers, I recorded and mixed live performances for bands’ ongoing use.

I worked as Podcast Editor for the Shoebox Stories National Podcast series which presented stories of modern immigration policy. We recorded famous guests including Jon Lithgow, Gloria Steinem, Chef Jose Andres and many more. I was the Editor who curated and put all the audio clips together in the proper sequence and interspersed the music as well.I collaborated with the Artistic Director who had a groundbreaking vision for her project, earning its broadcast on NPR and its coverage in the New York Times. I worked flexibly, enacting her specific visionary ideas and also making full editorial decisions.

As Shift Leader, I've become adept at supervising shifts with a larger staff. The use of key tools such as Shift Planners, Inventory Counts, and daily Task Sheets have helped me take on this role of more responsibilty. As well as opening and closing duties (Counting in tills, assigning registers, doing cash pulls, and keeping track of the numbers) I have also learned how to manage shifts with a diverse range of employees as well as training new hires in a fast-paced work environment. Peet's is dedicated to a high level of customer service and delivering a consistently great customer experience. I am currently working as a barista while i search for other part-time work.

I ran sound, managed bar back stocking duties, and bartended for this award-winning denver venue. We made it our number one priority to treat customers with the utmost courtesy and kindness. My communication skills and my ability to give great customer service improved a lot with this position. I am thoroughly trained in the Aloha POS system and I completed TIPS alcohol certification while being employed there. I took care of light bookkeeping and am familiar with Excel and QuickBooks.
