As an Achievement Coach, confidentiality was essential. I understood the importance of developing trusting relationships with my students and dealt with sensitive issues through care and diplomacy. With the guidance of the Data Protection Act 1998, I took care to maintain confidentiality by always locking my computer, never leaving documents lying on my desk or discussing personal information to those not involved.Equality and diversity – I have experience in dealing with different pupils and staff at all levels and abilities. Understanding one person's needs may not be the same needs as another.I demonstrated excellent organisation skills within my role by planning, prioritising work and using organisation tools i.e. Microsoft Outlook calendar.
