- Perform initial testing on the newest Pebble data logger: Noise analysis, PSD, dynamic range calculations, relative transfer function, design filters and filter delay calculations, and timing drift are some of the tests performed on this data logger.- Schematic and design checks, design performance verifications, and error calculations are some of the tasks I performed under design verification.- Perform temperature testing and program temperature profiles using temperature chambers.- Perform the alternate part tests that arise due to part shortage.- Diagnose issues during the manufacturing of Q8, Pebble, ETNA2, Obsidian, and Q330 data loggers and fix them. Setting appropriate pass/fail values, repairing PCB boards, and training technicians on diagnosing and soldering are part of the job duties.- Install sensors in the vault, test them, and produce reports describing the performance of the Kinemetrics sensors (velocimeters and accelerometers): Omni, MBB2, and EPI.- Working with vendors and contract manufacturers to track down part-related issues.- When customers visit the facility, provide technical support with any questions regarding the products.- Helping newly hired people understand product-related knowledge and basic engineering.

Designed and built new electronics for research projects funded by corporate sponsors including Morpho Detection and Shimadzu Corporation. All efforts were related chemical instrumentation centered on Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS). Worked side-by-side in teams comprised of chemists, physicists and engineers from US, Japan, and Germany from industries and universities. - The use of design software (Eagle PCB design) for printed circuit board (PCB) to develop new electronics with as much as 4 layers. - Completing the population of circuitry using through-hole component and surface mount component. - Designing and implementing electronic circuits and systems of 20kV-DC power supplies, isolation systems, small current amplifiers (1-100 nano-amperes), pulse generators, and frequency filters. - Testing of analog electronics used in analytical measurements in Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) and Differential Mobility Spectrometry (DMS). - Repairing electronics of IMS and DMS instruments.

As a Laboratory supervisor (PHYS212L – General Physics II Laboratory),- Preparing the lab equipment, supervising the students, and grading lab reports for two undergraduate lab sessions per week of the General Physics II Laboratory (Electricity and Magnetism).
