He founded Alstrat Canada Inc. in 2005 providing trusted advisory services and international business development in various international markets including China and South-America. He has also been a TEC CANADA CEO group Chair and Coach in Montreal. Samir also acted as a volunteer business mentor with local and regional economic development agencies. He has been a member of the Board of directors of the Sacré-Coeur Hospital of Montreal and Chairman of its Audit, Finance and Performance committee. He served for over six years until October 2022 as Vice-chairman of the Board of Marie-Clarac private hospital and chairman of its audit committee. He currently serves as member of the Canadian Space Agency Ministerial Audit Committee.Samir holds a Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering Degree from École Polytechnique, a Management Diploma from Hautes Études Commerciales of Montreal, and a Corporate Governance Certificate from Laval University.
