HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORPORATION LTD. ROLE: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR ELECTRICAL, VISAKH REFINERY. PERIOD: FEB 2007 to 30.11.2010 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES AS ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR. • Design and implementation of comprehensive Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program and schedules were prepared for all electrical equipments in the Visakh Refinery. • Maintenance of Co-Generation Power Plant with High Voltage(HV 132 kV, 11kV), Medium Voltage (MV 6.6kV, 3.3kV) and Low Voltage (LV 415V, 230V, 110V), equipment like - 11kV, 10MW and 25MW Gas Turbine Generators (BHEL/GE make GTGs), 132kV MOCB, 11kV and 3.3kV VCB, and ABB SF6 circuit Breakers) and 415V ( switchgears, Volt an Transformers (up to 20 MVA), 11kV Capacitor Banks PMCC, MCC, LT and HT Motors (up to 4.5MW, ),UPS systems of GUTOR,HI-REL and Emerson make and Micro-processor based (MICOM - ALSTOM) ,CTMM, MOTPRO Relays. • Detailed Engineering study, Installation & Commissioning of various Electrical equipment includes Transformers ,LT & HT motors ,UPS systems, Battery Chargers, Energy efficient Illumination systems & VFDs in various Sub-Stations at Visakh Refinery as a part of execution of Non Planned Capital Budget jobs. • Expert in study & analyzing complex or recurring problems in Electrical systems and recommending appropriate solution which results in reliability and sustainability of electrical equipment to process units. • Responsible for carrying out RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) of equipment failures, Unit trips, Preparation of Failure Analysis Reports and Implementation of the corrective actions recommended during RCFA to avoid repetition of failures. • Carried out predictive maintenance tests like Thermo-graphy, Insulation Resistance and Hi-Pot testing, Tan-Delta testing, Oil Break Down Voltage (BDV) testing, Cable Fault Finding, Surge Comparison testing, Primary injection and Secondary injection testing, Relay Calibration, Differential Scheme checking, CT/PT tests, etc.
