An Associate Scientist in the BPD (Biopharmaceutical Development) graduate program at AstraZeneca. This is a 2 year rotation program where I will be a part of 3 different departments within BPD. My first rotation was in the Logistics and Clinical Supply department as an Associate Program Manager. My second rotation was in the Dosage Formulations Device Development department. I am currently in my third rotation in the Purification Process Sciences department.I studied biomedical engineering at the University of Delaware. I was involved in undergraduate research at the Biomechanics and Interfaces Lab at UD and have had the opportunity to present my research at the annual BMES conference in 2020. The poster presentation outlined my findings about mutations in the MYBPC3 gene and their effects on sarcomere contraction. I was also actively involved on campus with many leadership roles: President of the MSA, Fundraising Chair for UMR, Mentor and Tour Guide for ABME, on the E-board for the UD BMES chapter, and a member of SWE. In the summer of 2021, I interned at the Arizona Beverage Company as a Quality Engineering Intern. I assisted with implementing safe quality food and GMP for the purposes of the SQF audit in October. I wrote many standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions (WIs), corrective actions (CAPAs), and supplementary forms. These documents are now being used for training and recording purposes.
